One Way Taxi in Gujarat

A one-way drop is the most common booking we take and the one most often mispriced elsewhere. The economics are simple: the driver has to get the car back, and that cost has to sit somewhere. Most operators bury it in an inflated per-kilometre rate, which is why a 200 km trip and a 400 km trip can come back at oddly similar prices.

We do it the other way round. You are quoted at the published per-kilometre rate for the distance you travel, with a 130 km minimum that covers the dead-run on short trips. Above that minimum, a longer trip costs proportionally more and a shorter one costs proportionally less — which is what people expect and rarely get.

Driver allowance is charged once per day, not per leg. Tolls are estimated in the quote at roughly ₹1.10 per kilometre beyond the first 40, and reconciled against the actual plaza receipts when the trip ends. Interstate trips add the state permit as a separate line item so you can see exactly what the border cost.

One-way trips work best when your return is by train or flight, when the group is splitting up at the destination, or when you are moving between cities on a longer itinerary. If you need the car to wait with you, a round trip is almost always cheaper per kilometre.
